Product Overview
The Drive / Head Pulley (Herringbone Lagged) is the powered drum that pulls the belt at the head of ship loaders, overland conveyors and high-tension port lines. A forged keyed steel shaft, sealed spherical plummer-block bearings and a Ø500–1000mm steel shell carry the drive torque, while 12–25mm herringbone/diamond rubber lagging raises friction and sheds water and fines to stop slip in wet or abrasive duty. Built to E extra-heavy rating for 36–96 inch belts, it can be custom-lagged to your drum diameter, face width and shaft size.

How to Choose This Component
- Grade and load: choose CEMA E for extra-heavy, high-tonnage and overland duty; CEMA D for heavy-duty mainstream sections. Size the roller diameter and bracket spacing to the expected impact, belt load and material flow.
- Belt width: match the part to your belt (BW 36"–96"). When requesting a quote, send belt width, required trough angle or drum diameter, and installation spacing so we can confirm a drop-in fit.
- Working environment: tell us whether the duty is wet, dusty, sticky, abrasive or high-drop so we can match the seal, lagging, material and surface finish.
- Retrofit and mounting: provide existing bracket spacing and frame type for a direct replacement; painted or galvanized finishes are both available.
